Vehicle Systems
ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles)
Providing Deepwater workclass ROV and tooling solutions to the Oil & Gas and Telecommunications industries has been the mainstay of Perry Slingsby Systems' business for the past two decades. The development of much of the offshore Telecommunications and Oil & Gas industries has been successful in large part due to the introduction of the modern heavy workclass ROV. Perry Slingsby Systems has led the industry in all respects and continues to do so today with the most robust and dependable Remotely Operated Vehicles in the world.
The modern Tether Management System (TMS) is a strength of Perry Slingsby Systems. The need to de-couple the motion of the ship that the ROV operates from the vehicle itself has led to the ongoing advancement of the TMS technology. An increase in the water depths that today's ROVs are required to operate in is constantly being addressed by Perry Slingsby Systems as new TMS technology is built upon solid experience and proven ideas.
One area of ROV development and production that raises Perry Slingsby Systems to the top of its class is the highly reputable and dependable ROV control system. Known around the world for its long term reliability and stellar performance, the Perry Slingsby Systems control system is at the heart of the vehicle's enhanced capability and reliability.

Trenchers And Submarine Cable Plows

Many of today’s subsea pipelines and cables require burial in the seafloor for protection from damage and for thermal insulation. In bottom types from soft sand to solid rock, Perry Slingsby Systems has designed a system that will efficiently and reliably bury subsea cables and pipelines using water jets, chain cutters, a plow share or a combination of these methods.
Utilising powerful water jet technology, Perry Slingsby Systems has designed and produced a full line of Triton® trenching and cable maintenance vehicles that range from the robust Triton® 200 to the powerful Triton® 1000. These outstanding vehicles have buried much of the existing subsea cable and pipeline that exist around the world today.
When the seafloor is too hard to jet through, the job requires a vehicle such as the GatorTM and the use of its rugged chain cutting technology to saw through the bottom and produce the necessary cable or pipeline trench.
For extended offshore burial, Perry Slingsby Systems has designed a versatile line of submarine cable plows. These robust machines have a highly proven track record and have buried many thousands of miles of cable in the seafloor.

Robotics
Complimenting the engineering and production of state of the art vehicles and trenchers, Perry Slingsby Systems designs and manufactures a wide variety of manipulator systems. Manipulator technology is constantly advancing, as operator requirements move beyond the capability to grab or hold onto items with more delicate and complex tasks regularly requiring completion. Perry Slingsby Systems has been designing and manufacturing manipulator systems for over two decades and will continue their market based product development to meet the changing needs of the market. Past products have included: TA09, TA36, TA20 and Hydrus.
